Biker Suffers Critical Head Injury After Falling Tree Branch Strikes Him in Bengaluru
A 52-year-old motorcyclist suffered critical head injuries after a dry tree branch fell on him while he was riding in Bengaluru's Rajajinagar area. The impact left him in a coma, prompting emergency surgery at Manipal Hospital in Yeshwanthpur. He is now reported to be recovering after the life-threatening incident.
The victim, identified as Satish, was on his way to work when the dry branch unexpectedly broke off from a tree and struck him on the head. CCTV footage of the incident showed that Satish was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The force of the impact caused him to lose control of his two-wheeler, resulting in him collapsing on the road. Local residents immediately rushed to the spot and shifted him to a nearby hospital. He was later referred to Manipal Hospital in Yeshwanthpur for advanced medical treatment.
Doctors performed emergency surgery after Satish slipped into a coma following the incident. According to available information, his condition has since improved, and he is now recovering.
The incident has highlighted the serious danger posed by dry and weakened tree branches on public roads, while also underscoring the importance of wearing protective helmets to reduce the risk of severe head injuries during unforeseen accidents.
